How to Stay Motivated and Succeed
It takes a significant amount of self-discipline and effort to complete a high quality accredited degree, but nearly 3 million poeple do so each year at various online colleges and universities throughout the world. They do so, because it is worth it. There a many benefits, but the key comes from being able to force the issue with yourself and learning how to enjoy the journey.
The most successful people in life develop an attitude that "I can do it." It is a mindset that research has shown that enables people to carry on and take challenges.
1. Set a goal and visualize it down to the most minute detail.
2. Make a list of the reasons you want to accomplish the goal.
3. Break the goal down into smaller pieces and set intermediary targets — and rewards.
4. Have a strategy, but be prepared to change course.
5. Get the help you need.
6. Continually check in with your reasons for carrying on. (Ibid.)

The Key to Success is Commitment and Presistence
The whole idea of completing any degree may at times seem overwhelming. However, it is like the old analogy of the eating an elephant. You can't in one bite, but little by little, one mouth full at a time, it is possible to eat an elephant. Winston Churchil wrote on the Battle for Britain after 92 devastating bombings on London in World War II:
Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker,
It should challenge us to new heights of accomplishments.
Not pull us to new depths of despair,
Failure is delay, but not defeat.
It is a temporary detour, not a dead end street. (William Arthur Ward)
Nothing is the world can take the
place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more
common than unsuccessful men
Genius will not; unrewarded genius
is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full
of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone
The slogan "Press on" has solved,
and always will solve, the problems
of the human race. (Calvin Coolidge)
"Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe, and enthusiastically act upon, must invitably come to pass." (Paul J. Meyer)
